If you are one of the many millions of people who suffer from psoriasis, then you too, like me, have to endure a constant regime of creams and lotions in an attempt to lessen the impact of the dry, flakey skin that the psoriasis causes.

Well, I don’t know about you, but for me – it’s a constant drag. Every day having to put on a cocktail of psoriasis creams and lotions, some with ingredients that can have unpleasant side effects and all costing a small fortune that creates a hole in the weekly budget.

This was a situation that I was convinced would be normal for the rest of my life, until a good friend told me about the Dead Sea and some psoriasis research he had heard about. Apparently, a course of treatments involving the salt water, mineral mud packs and sun baths produce results that are, to say the least, miraculous. According to the research (I looked it up in our local library), after only a short course of treatments, psoriasis scared skin clears up and the disease goes into remission for up to nine months!

At first, I was, to say the least, skeptical. But my wife said that we had nothing to lose. We booked a hotel for two weeks and flew off to the Dead Sea – that was six months ago.
Without a doubt, the best decision of my life! After just four days of spa treatments, my skin already looked fresher than it had for years. Within a week, there were no signs of the psoriasis and by the end of our vacation – I was a new man, literally. Fresh, clear skin, relaxed after a great vacation and ready to fight the world!

As I said, that was six months ago. Since then, the psoriasis has shown no signs of returning. I no longer have to pay regular trips to the drug store and spend a fortune on creams and lotions. I can go to the beach or the pool without having to suffer the stare of people looking at the signs of my psoriasis. I am, really and truly, a new person.

My suggestion – you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Try it and see.

At approximately 420 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest land point on our planet. Another unique feature is that the amount of water flowing into the Dead Sea (really a very large lake) is less than the amount that evaporates daily. This phenomena results in a high saline content, one of the highest in the world, of 340 grams per 1000 grams of water.

The natural attributes of the Dead Sea are what have attracted visitors seeking relief from psoriasis, eczema, rheumatism and other chronic ailments, for thousands of years. Justifiably claimed to be one of the world’s oldest spa’s, the Dead Sea was known to Cleopatra who visited the area because of its therapeutic qualities.

Today, minerals extracted from the water and the mud are used in a vast range of cosmetic products that provide relief from the dry’ flakey skin of psoriasis, help skin damaged by eczema recover and help ease the aches and pains associated with rheumatism and arthritis.
However, the Dead Sea also offers longer lasting relief from psoriasis. Sufferers who take a course of 100% natural psoriasis treatments whilst staying at one of the areas luxurious hotels, achieve remission rates that reach as high as 97% and remission periods of up to nine months!

Psoriasis, eczema and rheumatism treatments are simple, involve no medications, 100% natural and enjoyable. Lying in the water, mud packs, sunbathing in the low UV sunlight and resting in the clean clear atmosphere, all contribute to the high remission rates.

I know, it sounds very bombastic, but I really think that I’m not exaggerating. Let’s be clear, I’m not heralding a new cure for psoriasis, but I do have a suggestion for a treatment course that can clear up the disfiguring effects of psoriasis within just a few days, is based on 100% natural treatments, is carried out whilst enjoying a luxury vacation in 5 star hotel in one of the most magical places on earth and, if that’s not enough, provides remission rates of up to nine months. Now if that’s not salvation, then I don’t know what is!

The place I’m talking about is the Dead Sea – a spot known for thousands of years for its therapeutic qualities and its effectiveness in treating skin diseases like psoriasis and eczema as well as joint ailments such as rheumatism. The health benefits of the area are chronicled as far back as Ancient Egypt and the Roman Empire and it has been, for thousands of years, a place of pilgrimage for those seeking clear, healthy skin and a really relaxing and body soothing experience.

Recent medical research also corroborates the effectiveness of the Dead Sea salts, minerals and low UV level sun. A recent, one year study conducted by the Dead Sea Research Institute of over 100 psoriasis sufferers from Germany, concludes that the beneficial effect of Dead Sea treatments cannot be in doubt, with well over 95% of the patients showing skin recovery with just a few days and total disappearance of symptoms by the end of the treatment course.

Follow up studies show that over 95% of the patients showed no recurrence of symptoms for at least nine months and that psoriasis reestablishment rates were considerably slower than the accepted norm.

The bottom line: for the cost of a great holiday, you can get long lasting relief from psoriasis and not have to use all sorts of creams, lotions or medicines every day. You can enjoy life to the full, without having to worry about "how you look". Believe me, when I say salvation – I mean it!

In the first part of this two article series on psoriasis we spoke of the disease, treatments and the effectiveness of 100% natural Dead Sea treatment regimes on long term alleviation from the symptoms of psoriasis.
However, the first article left you with a question – what have psoriasis treatments at the Dead Sea got to do with my Health Insurance Company or national health scheme?

As we said, there are treatments for psoriasis available at your pharmacist’s or local spa. However, these treatments demand constant re-application and can involve long term costs running into the thousands of dollars a year.

In an era where medicine is becoming increasingly expensive, medical insurers and health agencies are constantly looking for ways to reduce costs. The Dead Sea’s proven record in long term psoriasis solutions has, over the past few years, caused many health providers to rethink their policy regarding psoriasis treatments. A cold examination of financial figures has shown health insurers that the short term costs of a series of psoriasis treatments at the Dead Sea can be covered by the future savings on creams, lotions, alternative treatments and the like. Put bluntly, they save money by sending you to the Dead Sea for a psoriasis treatment schedule and you benefit from an effective long term treatment, release from the need to endlessly apply creams and, you get a great vacation at a truly amazing destination.

It’s a win – win situation for everybody except the drug companies making money from your psoriasis!
Support for psoriasis treatments at the Dead Sea varies. Depending on your health insurer’s or health provider’s policy, you may be eligible for full coverage or subsidized coverage for psoriasis treatment. One thing however is guaranteed – the results you will achieve, the new outlook on life that freedom from the signs of psoriasis will bring you, make a course of treatments at the Dead Sea one of the most important decisions of your life!

As we know, psoriasis is a chronic disease with no known cure. Psoriasis isn’t a life threatening ailment, is 100% non-contagious and, in theory, shouldn’t restrict those afflicted in any major fashion. In practice, however, psoriasis can cause people to adopt a life style far from that they would wish. This is generally due to the unsightly dry, flakey skin that is the main symptom and external sign of psoriasis. This symptom can cause people to stare and make those suffering from psoriasis extremely self conscious with the result that they may stop going to the beach, always wear long sleeved shirts and, in extreme cases, even become "stay at homes".

Many "treatments" for psoriasis are available on the market. Some require a doctor’s prescription; others can be bought from your local pharmacy. Some are 100% natural, others contain steroids or hormones. Additionally, many alternative therapies make claims for psoriasis relief – spa’s, UV treatments, mineral salt treatments and more.

Without getting into a discussion as to whether or not these psoriasis treatments are effective, I would like to mention the 100% natural treatments available at the Dead Sea. For well over 3000 years, from the time of Cleopatra and before, people have been coming to the Dead Sea for relief from skin ailments.
Scientific research shows that a course of treatments at the Dead Sea is one of the most effective, 100% natural, psoriasis treatments available today. Well over 90% of those who undergo a treatment course at one of the area’s five star hotels report a disappearance of all psoriasis symptoms for up to nine months!

Following treatment, there is no need for endless application of creams or lotions. Patient’s skin remains clear and fresh for many long months. Moreover, the reappearance rate of psoriasis symptoms is significantly retarded.
So far so good – but how does this relate to health insurance companies? For the answer, read part two of this series.

Salt, an essential part of our diet but if we ingest too much, we’re looking at trouble. Sunshine, another essential element for life but, once again, too much is just too bad! And where’s the connection with psoriasis? Quite simply, in the Dead Sea!

Since the days of Abraham, through the ancient Egyptians, the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire and through until the present day, the Dead Sea has drawn people by the tens of thousands, seeking relief from psoriasis, eczema, rheumatism and other skin and joint diseases. True, 3000 years ago they didn’t call the ailments eczema, rheumatism or psoriasis but they knew that the waters, the sun and the climate of the Dead Sea had miraculous affects on the dry skin of psoriasis and the aching joints of rheumatism.

So what is it that makes this particular area so beneficial to those suffering from psoriasis and other ailments?
Much scientific and medical research has been done over the years to determine exactly what factors contribute to the Dead Sea’s amazing success rate in the treatment of psoriasis.

Minerals: The water and mud of the Dead Sea contain extremely high concentrations of salts and minerals that help our skin rejuvenate and replenish itself. This is accomplished in a number of ways, including bathing in the saline water and applying mud packs of Dead Sea mud on the area affected by the psoriasis.
The water relaxes us, softens the skin and provides vital nourishment that encourages growth of healthy skin cells.

The mud packs, as they dry, remove impurities from the skin whilst providing additional nourishing minerals. The mud also removes gently the upper layer of the damaged skin when it is washed off, revealing a new layer of fresh, glowing skin underneath, with no signs of psoriasis.

Sunlight: The sun’s rays are known both for their therapeutic and harmful effects. Because of its depth, the Dead Sea area has a larger than normal ozone layer that filters out the harmful UV wavelengths, leaving behind the therapeutic UV radiation. This allows psoriasis sufferers to take beneficial sun baths for longer periods with no fear of sunburn.

Air: Set in the desert, the Dead Sea enjoys a dry, pollutant and allergenic free atmosphere that also contributes to the healing process.

Wouldn’t it be great if the answer to that question was a resounding yes! Unfortunately, just as the causes of psoriasis are still unknown, so a cure for psoriasis has still to be found. If that’s the case, then why the bombastic heading? Well, there is no magical, permanent cure for psoriasis but the next best thing is a reality and within your reach.

What if there existed a treatment regime for psoriasis that was 100% naturally based and that involved no medicines or medications? What if this psoriasis treatment repaired the damage caused to your psoriasis ravaged skin within just a few short days of beginning treatment? What if the effects of the treatment left you with skin free from psoriasis for as long as nine months and slowed down its reappearance rate? Finally, what if this psoriasis treatment required that you stay in a luxurious 5 star hotel, enjoying the vacation of a lifetime, whilst clearing up your skin?

Well, it would appear that the age of magic has yet to pass because all of these things are available at one spot – the Dead Sea!
This magical spot (there’s that word again) sits at the lowest point on the face of the globe – over 400 meters below sea level. The Dead Sea (really a lake) is one of the most saline bodies of water on the planet. The water and the mud contain large concentrations of natural minerals and salts that have an amazing therapeutic affect on the ravages of psoriasis.

Spending just a couple of weeks on vacation, having daily soaks in the salt water and mud packs, removes the damaged skin revealing new fresh skin underneath that is also nourished and cleansed by the mineral content. And just to add one final bit of magic to this wonderful potion – the results of a course of treatment at the Dead Sea can put your psoriasis in remission for up to nine months!

Who said there is no such thing as magic?

For many suffers of psoriasis, treatment regimes are usually associated with endless applications of creams and lotions, regular visits to spa’s or other treatment modalities. For almost 99% of psoriasis sufferers, this is an endless cycle that takes time, costs money and, if provides any relief, it is for a relatively short periods of time.

Psoriasis is a disease with no known permanent cure. Because of this, an endless stream of products appears on the market, promising those with psoriasis immediate and long lasting relief. Unfortunately, the vast majority provide, at best, a short term respite before the symptoms of psoriasis return in full force.
However, there is one treatment regime that has proven itself successful in long term alleviation in psoriasis symptoms; a course of treatments at the Dead Sea.

Historically, statistically and medically, the Dead Sea has an undisputed and well recorded success rate in the treatment of psoriasis. The healing properties of the Dead Sea water and mud were known for their affect on skin diseases such as psoriasis as far back as Ancient Egypt. Today, psoriasis sufferers from around the world regularly come to one of the area’s five star hotels for a course of psoriasis treatments involving the highly saline waters, the mineral rich mud, the low UV content sunlight and the clean, dry air.

Scientific research points conclusively to the long term relief from psoriasis – up to nine months – and the retardation in the return of the ailment’s symptoms.
For many, a course of treatments at the Dead Sea relieves them of the need to apply creams and lotions every day. The amazing rejuvenation their skin undergoes enables them to lead a normal life, going to the beach or the pool, wearing summer shirts and not having to contend with the people staring at the dry skin that is characteristic of psoriasis – because their skin is fresh and glowing.

Psoriasis is a chronic illness affecting the skin and the scalp. With the cause unknown and no permanent cure as yet discovered, those afflicted with psoriasis are forced to suffer the dry, flakey skin that is the primary outward symptom of the disease and that causes much mental and emotional anguish, due mainly to the reaction from others and the fear of infection – this despite the known fact that psoriasis is in no way contagious!

Many medicines, creams, lotions and treatments for psoriasis are available. Some are based on natural ingredients; some contain hormones and steroids, with the possibility of side effects. All of the medicines demand constant usage in order to achieve an effect that is, for the most part, only partial and short lived. Many treatments demand regular repeat sessions that interrupt the normal life of the psoriasis sufferer and can cost substantial sums of money.

However, one psoriasis treatment that has been proven both scientifically and statistically to provide long term – up to nine months – remission with no need for repeat or booster treatments is a course of treatments at the Dead Sea.

Psoriasis treatments at the Dead Sea take advantage of the unique physical qualities of the area: an extremely high saline and mineral content in the water and the mud that both removes the skin damaged by psoriasis and cleanses and nourishes the fresh skin underneath, dry, pollutant free air that aids recovery, a dense ozone layer that filters out the harmful UV radiation wavelengths, leaving behind only those parts of the wavelength that are beneficial to the skins recovery and lengthen the amount of time that one can be exposed to the sun’s rays without fear of adverse side effects.

Whilst it’s true that psoriasis treatments do take time – anywhere between one to four weeks – the advantage of psoriasis treatments at the Dead Sea lies in that they are 100% natural with no adverse side effects, the treatments put the psoriasis in remission for up to nine months and you can bring your family with you and have a great vacation whilst staying at one of the luxurious five star hotels that the area offers.
